Welcoming hikers

A unique break on the GR736: descend part of the Gorges... by boat!

Are you hiking along the GR736 – Gorges and Valley of the Tarn?

Treat yourself to a unique and relaxing experience: a guided boat trip down the heart of the canyon, between La Malène and the Cirque des Baumes.

Instead of walking, let yourself be carried along by the river, surrounded by spectacular scenery, before continuing your journey on foot after the trip.

The principle: walking + rowing

  • Start of the walk: village of La Malène (48210)
  • Guided 8 km boat trip down the Tarn (approximately 1 hour) to the Cirque des Baumes
At the end of the walk, you have a choice:
  • Either return by shuttle bus with the other passengers
  • Either descend to the left bank to resume your route on foot

A path approximately 300 metres long connects the landing point to the GR736 trail. This allows you to continue your hike without having to turn back. You can board with your rucksack without any problems (stable boat).
